About the Documentary
As wildfires become an increasingly devastating reality in Los Angeles, their impact extends beyond home and wildlife, threatening one of the city’s most defining industries: music. My documentary explores how the recent Los Angeles wildfires have disrupted the live music scene, destroyed historic recording spaces and memorabilia, and forced professionals to rethink the future of their careers amid the climate crisis era.

About Me
Get to Know Me
My name is Morgan Webb, and I am a senior at Loyola Marymount University. I will receive my BA in Journalism in May 2025 and my Master's in Entertainment Leadership and Management in May 2026. For my senior capstone project, I aimed to hone in on how the music scene in Los Angeles has evolved throughout 2025 in response to the recent wildfires that have devastated the city – claiming lives, homes, businesses, and recording studios. As an aspiring music industry professional, I felt compelled to amplify the voices of those within this community, offering a platform for their stories to be heard during a time of profound disruption.
Hearing directly from musicians and industry professionals who lost their homes, recording studios, and creative equipment to the flames was devastating, yet it was equally moving to witness their resilience and the solidarity of the music community. Through this documentary, I hope to bring the challenges facing this industry amid ongoing environmental crises to light and to emphasize the efforts of nonprofit organizations working to support those affected.
